Newtown, “Little Ireland”, Cardiff , an area that built in the early 1830s, and demolished in the 1970s.
Newtown occupied a small area, situated roughly between Splott and the docks. Early maps show Adamsdown (to the west of Splott) being part of Newtown, but for locals, Newtown encompassed just six streets:
Tyndall, Street,
Pendoylan Street,
Roland Street,
North William Street,
Ellen Street
Rosemary Street.
Most likely if Mary Kelly lived in Cardiff it was in one of these named streets.
