Ruby Young

Ruby paid a heavy price for her dalliance with Robert Wood. He behaved like a cad and a bounder; it didn’t make him a murderer but he didn’t mind, or he didn’t foresee, the consequences of his actions upon attractive Ruby Young. Maybe Ruby’s choice of men left a lot to be desired, but she didn’t deserve the public’s hatred. She was caught in the grip of lying under oath for her ex lover, who had proven himself a cad, or telling the truth about their meeting and ostensibly sending him to the gallows.
